Kaplan-Meier analysis of freedom from major adverse events, defined as Q-wave myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiac ischemia requiring intervention, renal failure requiring permanent dialysis, bowel obstruction, ischemia or fistula, stroke, paralysis, conversion to open surgery, aneurysm rupture, or death. The circles represent time points when any patient is censored from the analysis. The vertical bars represent 95% confidence intervals.
